I Missed Writing. Let’s Do This Again!

It’s been quite a while since I last wrote an article. Three months to be exact. That’s a lot of time to be away from something I started doing over 5 years ago. Something that I built a career on and something that is still my passion.

So why did I stop writing? Well, life happened. Three months ago I was still the Founding Editor of Gadgets Africa. However, that changed in October 2021 when I “shifted” to a new role to build Badili.Africa. I say shifted because what changed was my deliverables and what I was expected to do but I was still very much active in running Gadgets Africa, only without the writing articles bit.

Two months later, life happened again. This time, of my own doing. I decided to take a leap of faith and switch careers — I said goodbye to a profession that had caused me heartbreak (that’s a story for another day) and onto something new and promising.

I’ve been thinking about getting back to writing for a while now. Wasn’t sure if I should set up a full fledged blog, do it on Twitter as threads or just go with Medium — you can guess which idea won.

Anyway, the idea was to keep this article short and just make a promise to myself to get back to writing and hope for accountability from you guys. But I must say this, thank God there’s no KPIs attached to this, so expect super honest reviews — yup, I am so getting back to that, analysis of things happening in the tech world (Safaricom my eyes are on you) and definitely some car content 👀.

As I start this new journey, I hope you join me. Follow me on Medium and let’s get this rolling.

Thinking out loud: Also, should I call this blog, Tech Saruni? 🤔
